Working with collaborator Alan and Deborah Slobodnik, we analyzed the team and interpersonal dynamics known as the Team Traps from a causal perspective. Alan and Deborah had a consultancy known as Options for Change that employed and built on the principles of Family Systems theories by David Kantor, and had identified commonly occurring destructive team dynamics. We developed causal loops depicting the forces that drove these dynamics, and were then able to identify structural interventions to breakthrough these stuck interpersonal patterns. Fascinating and useful stuff!
