This impressive science company was experiencing some internal growing pains.
A short series of meetings with a cross-sectional representation of staff was held to identify strategic issues, and to give employee leaders a common language to talk about systemic challenges they faced. In addition to identifying key archetypes in action and together creating an enterprise map, the group thought through strategic options while considering the key strategic choices they had.
The combination of the systemic view, with the compare and contrast of different strategies eventually led to a much needed strategic expansion in the local plant, as well as several supporting initiatives. Systems thinking at its finest
